On Choosing IronPort 

"To be real honest, when we started our search, we didn’t have well defined list of criteria. Basically, our existing spam filter wasn’t cutting it.  It did an okay job of blocking really obvious spam and that’s it.  Over time though, we were getting a lot of feedback from staff.  On a daily basis, we see about 90,000 messages and only 4 percent are valid.  We looked at a lot of options and spent a lot of time evaluating several products. Once we did an evaluation, we knew IronPort was superior.  From day one, we saw a huge increase in messages blocked.  With rules and regulations in the healthcare industry, security and protecting information is critical.  We have a continued focus on security and this was a big factor in why we chose IronPort.   IronPort has an excellent interface – very intuitive, advanced content filtering, provides detailed reports, the ability to tie in encryption and from a management standpoint, it was easy to use.  IronPort just has so many additional features – to have so many options available to us is key.  When we chose IronPort, we looked closely at what more we could be doing with this, and knew there were a lot of possibilities.  With so many different systems to manage,  any time you have a product as intuitive as IronPort, it’s a huge bonus.  And, the demo process was great – it was seamless working with Vital."
